Children are born with a certain freedom and inhibition, they see the world simplistically and vivid with color and anything seems possible. In this painting, the young girl is growing, and refuses to leave the beautiful colors of her childhood behind. Painted intuitively, a process, a kind of meditation through art, exploring the self through a creative process. This painting to me is a reminder of the child we once were and some still are.
